Course Info: The course is typical rolling Bluegrass countryside. The course will start and finish on S. Brand St. in Midway and will finish through Midway starting around the 7 mile point. The course will be closed to traffic, but the occasional vehicle might require access to a horse farm or residence. Because these are narrow public roads with no sidewalk and we’re limited in the time we can keep them closed to traffic you will be required to keep a 14 minute per mile pace. This means you must be able to complete the race in 1:45 or less.If you are not keeping a 14 minute per mile pace you should not expect any support (traffic control, water, sports drink, etc.) and you will not be covered by our insurance policy since you will not be obeying the rules for this race. We ask that you please don’t put us in this position. We will have a person on the course with a flashing red light on his/her back keeping a steady 14 min/mile pace. You will need to keep in front of this person during the race. A course map can be found here.
Timing: The race will be chip timed. Timing mats will be set up at the starting line, and the finish line.
Awards: A custom medal will be given to each finisher. Top 3 overall awards will be given to males and females. Top 3 awards will also be given to males and females in the following age groups: 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. If you are 85+, 90+, 95+ or 100+ please note this on your entry and YOU WILL GET AN AWARD (and our congratulations!).
